Sanukite makes a clean, beautiful sound when it is struck, resulting in this rare stone’s other name, kankan ishi. The souvenir shop also has a wealth of handmade folk crafts and original products for sale. The shop also exhibits a folding screen painting depicting the Genpei War, which took place approx. 400 years ago.
